［About the lyrics］
1. "D.O.A."是Dead On Arrival，送醫時已死亡。歌詞中"love life's D.O.A"是指戀愛壽命短暫，還來不及進展就結束了！

2. "second gear"是車子二檔，二檔是一個慢速檔，所以汽車如果掛在二檔，就無法迅速前進了，就好像生活沒有變化，沒有進展。

3. "pour"是傾瀉的意思，雨傾瀉而出就是下傾盆大雨囉！

4. "bring someone down to one's knees"本意是指「迫使某人屈服」，是一種比喻的意義，例如：The country was almost brought to its knees by the long strike.（長期的罷工使這個國家瀕臨崩潰的邊緣。）歌詞是說，老天故意和你做對，非讓你屈服不可，但是不管怎麼樣，還有像我這樣的朋友會在你身邊支持著你。
